
Kruthi Jagadish Kumar, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of
Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice Studies at Longwood University. Her scholarly
work includes peer-reviewed article on anxiety and other moderating factors predicting juvenile
delinquency. Her co-authored works include a peer-reviewed article on school climate and
neighborhood problems, perceived risk of victimization and fear of crime, and a book chapter on
the historical perspective of under-criminalization and over-criminalization. Dr. Jagadish
Kumar’s research interests include the causes and consequences of juvenile delinquency, youth
runaway, future orientation, exploring patterns of youth victimization, and fear of crime
victimization.
