Allison Millward is Assistant Professor of History at Rowan College at Burlington County in
New Jersey. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Southern Queensland where
she is researching the lived-experiences of Allied nurses on the Western Front. She previously
earned her M.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and her B.A. in government
and international politics from George Mason University. With an academic background in war
and society, her research interests include women’s experiences in war, life-writings of
participants in conflict, wartime art and media and design history.
