“Bridging Society and Economy: Challenges, Opportunities, and Futures ”
Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT – August 7th & 8th, 2026
Proposals are Due- By May 15th, 2026
The East Coast Colleges Social Sciences Association (ECCSSA) invites scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students from across the social sciences to participate in our 51st Annual Conference Roundtable. This year’s theme, “Bridging Society and Economy: Challenges, Opportunities, and Futures,” explores the dynamic interplay between economic systems and social realities. From international trade, housing markets, and inflation to mental health, inequality, and community resilience, the conference will examine how economic forces shape societies—and how social conditions influence economic outcomes. By bridging disciplines and perspectives, ECCSSA aims to foster meaningful dialogue, deepen interdisciplinary understanding, and inspire actionable pathways that strengthen the connection between economic systems and the social well-being of communities worldwide.
We strongly encourage undergraduate and graduate students to submit proposals, present their research, and actively participate in the conference discussions.
